Divine Orange

There are certain colours which I often associate with my near and dear ones. Their personalities, and their aura resemble the energies of those colours.

Orange colour (bhagwa ) was my nanis-Mothiaais favourite colour.She was a devotee of Shri Ramkrishna Paramhansa and spent a major part of her life worshipping him and in service of Ramkrishna Mission. All through my childhood we visited the ashram regularly and at times we had Swamiji's and Mataji's at her place, all dressed up in Bhagwe vastra.I remember she had arranged a baby shower for me in my favourite garden and had made me drape a beautiful orange saree of hers. She loved mangoes and she had a special expertise in making Puran polis. She used to make Puran polis for 30- 40 people as magic.Puran Poli with aamras was one of her special menus during summer vacation.She used to pack the same for mission too. Her love,affection , compassion, and devotion is unmatched whether for Lord or for all people around her. Orange ( Bhagwa) colour unconsciously got associated with her and Divinity for me.

When I saw this saree online recently I felt a gush of emotions and I instantly bought it. Mothiaai is no more physically around but can feel her presence through so many beautiful memories and incidences.
