Let Go


I was in discussion with my mentor about peaceful life when the subject of pain came up.


Pain from physical hurt or from ailment is curable with painkillers and medicines but how about pain which has its source in our mind..the invisible one.


This kind of pain whose source is difficult to trace instantly reflects itself in mood swings,anger,depression,addiction or unexplained sadness.A person may have everything but still a feeling of lacking may be there.Absolute peace seems missing.The pain or the hurt needs to be addressed conciously and one needs to think and reflect backward to heal it.


Heartbreak,failure,disappointment,breakup with bestie,relocation from comfort zone,argument with loved one ,loss of loved one,breach of trust by confidante, politics or bias at workplace,strained relation with family member.. there can be n number of reasons.


How one takes one situation or event depends altogether on individual constitution and how it impacts him or her can never be fully predicted.


Life moves on and everyone tries to cope up with low moments and setbacks in whatever way possible.Some try to forget while some move on with the baggage of all emotional pain and hurt.Having a sharp memory is always a culprit in such cases.


Wise are those who have mastered the art of let go.Yes we often come across these terms ..chodd na yaar, jaude de visrun jaa, let it go.

Over the years what I have realised is, it is easy to forget than to let go. As a result if someone brings up the memory, the pain surfaces out. Best way is to accept the situation or the person however bad it may seem, undertstand everything is not in our control always, address the pain the emotional discomfort,cry if you wish to and just say goodbye to it consciously.Lesson learnt,good moments cherished,goodbye extended,Chapter closed.Sometimes we are upset with our own self.We are the culprit .That also needs forgiveness and healing ourselves.


The letting go with awareness brings us to a place of peace always. Place where the same situation or person won't be able to land us in pain again.We become immune and strong.We carry less baggage and our mind remains decluttered.Haing said so important is to beleive that something better is in store for us.


Remember the scene in Jab We Met movie, where Geet asks Aditya to burn the photo of ex-girlfriend and flush it away.These symbolic actions actually play an important role in signalling our subconscious mind to let go.


Life is Beautiful and for exploring and experiencing it fully we need a pure clear mind and healthy body.If we keep cuddling the pain we would attract just sadness and ailments in our life. Next time while dealing with pain just keep on reminding to Let go asap the cause.Remember even trees have to go off their leaves in autumn to bloom in spring again.
